Satyajit founded Architecture Social Club in 2015 on a belief that great design comes from great collaborations. He loves to explore the relationship of design in public arts and architecture, finding threads that connect them.
Satyajit’s penchant for spatial design started at Nottingham University, then developed further at The Royal College of Art & Cambridge University where he earned his qualifications to become an architect. After graduating, Satyajit worked in Sir Norman Foster's world-renowned architecture firms on projects in America, China, Brazil, India with some high profiles clients including Apple.
As a student in Nottingham, Satyajit started Firefly, a renowned events & artists management company. Running over 150 events with crowds of up to 10,000 spanning over 10 years, Satyajit has worked with artists like Hot Chip, Orbital and Justice, and collaborated with various media companies including the BBC for Radio 1 broadcasts. It was during this time that Satyajit started playing with spaces to create mind bending wonderfully delirious experiences for the audience.
From Satyajit’s upbringing as a young boy in India, through to studying medicine before side stepping into architecture & leading various music industry companies from a young age, his varied background has helped shape his unique perspective on design & architecture. He’s been lucky to meet & work with a huge cast of creative talents along the way & with Architecture Social Club is able to bring them altogether.
Satyajit gives guest lectures at the University Arts London (UAL), Condé Nast College (Vogue) and the Bartlett UCL.
